After experiencing some theft incidents to the ground mounted Fresno Airport array (USA Portfolio) recently, it made us curious if the additional cost for roof mounted vs ground mounted was worth the improved security? We plan to track any further theft incidents to see if they are ground or roof mounted.
We are also excited about this new relationship with Hooray Energy. With the results from the micro projects in Brazil exceeding projected expectations, this could be a perfect way to duplicate the success in Africa. It will be fun to see if any and what size projects come from Hooray Energy going forward.
It’s also good to see them post this new “Notes from the field” type update in the timeline, especially in the African portfolio, which, to the passing visitor, was looking a little stale. The previous timeline update was in February. We had reached out to them a couple of weeks before this about updating the timelines more regularly. To those who aren’t investors, they aren’t privy to the information we as investors have. We know all the hard work the Energea team puts into these portfolios regularly; non-investors do not. Hopefully, this will be the start of having no more stale timelines.
